Counseling and Psychotherapy

Here to connect and embrace change with you, challenge patterns that no longer serve you, and empower you to live your full potential.

Welcome

Have you been trying your best on your own only to feel like you keep getting stuck?

Are you feeling alone or unsatisfied in your relationship?

Have you or your partner been diagnosed with a serious or chronic illness and are finding it hard to cope?

Do you find yourself thinking that there must be more to life than just going through the motions?

If you have answered “yes” to any of these questions, I would be happy to speak with you.

We human beings were not meant to struggle alone through these experiences, but rather in connection with the support of others. Seeking help is a strength and an important first step toward feeling better and living your full potential.

I consider it a privilege to support people through their normal, day-to-day challenges, as well as their darkest moments, and witness them as they achieve what they never thought was possible.  I start by listening intently to you as you describe your problems and begin our work right where you are, respecting you as the expert of yourself.

The trusting relationship we develop gives you the safety to understand what keeps you stuck in certain behaviors, relationship patterns and images of yourself that no longer serve you.  This understanding can give you more control over your choices, allowing you to move forward into a more satisfying future.

About
I listen attentively, validate your experience, and collaborate actively to help you understand what is holding you back from what you want in life.  Through this therapeutic
experience, you will have the opportunity to gain more control over your choices and your future.

We define your attainable goals and work on them together, tailoring your therapy to meet your own needs.  I create a unique therapeutic space where you are the sole focus and have the ability to explore your feelings, needs and dreams without fear of judgment or expectation.

When you truly know yourself through the therapeutic process, you are freed to live a richer life with less anxiety.  You can also feel more connected to yourself and in more satisfying relationships with others.

Couples Therapy

Losing connection with our partner is common in our fast-paced, complicated world.  I help couples identify patterns in their relationships, learn to listen to one another and reignite their connection.

Caregiver

Counseling

I help caregivers/care partners of people with medical conditions learn how to care for themselves as well as their loved ones.

Caring for a partner with an illness can be all-consuming and isolating, so our work together creates a safe space that is reserved only for you, where you can voice feelings that may seem unacceptable elsewhere.

Having listened to and helped people with severe and chronic illness, such as multiple sclerosis (MS), cancers, Parkinson's and other neurological and autoimmune diseases, for over a decade, I can understand your unique struggles and help you adjust to a new diagnosis or cope with managing a chronic illness.

I can collaborate with your physicians and other care providers, translating medical language into understandable, more manageable information.  I guide your transition into living with an illness and help you integrate your diagnosis into your greater self.
